Range of Sounds is your one stop website for audio engineering guides, equipment recommendations, and pretty much anything else related to music.

My name is Cameron, and I am the founder of this website.

My journey with music started when I was 16 years old, and my friends needed someone to play bass in their band. I figured I could take a few lessons and learn quickly.

Unfortunately, that assumption was wrong…

I spent many grueling hours practicing, and it took me over a year to get any good.

That being said, I really enjoyed playing music, so practicing was actually not a big deal for me.

In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I kept playing bass after the band broke up, and I even stated playing guitar too.

Later on, I got into electronic music production and some audio engineering which required me to put together a whole home studio and learn about music production and audio engineering.

In the process of doing this, I’ve come across a lot of products, learned quite a few concepts, and worked with other musicians. All of this took me a fair amount of time and investment, so I thought it would be a great idea to create a resource that would help other people who were trying to do something similar.

Range of Sounds is that resource.

It features insights from professional audio engineers like Robert Ruby on how to do just about anything related to music.

Take a look around, and let us know what you think.
